• We only get this encouragement because of what we face or what we go through.  
• We will take courage because we have a God that will help us in every circumstance. 
• He will NEVER forsake or leave, we can bank on that, regardless of how we feel or what it looks like.

Prayer: How grateful I am today Lord that You will never leave nor forsake me.  I can be strong and courageous regardless of what things look like.  I will not be afraid or let the enemy lie to me or make me feel guilty or shameful, because You are my helper and my strength.  You are the constant God in my life.  I bless Your holy name today.   Amen.

Matthew 13:52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

• Rather than replacing the one with the other, we embrace both the Old and the New Testaments.
• There are so many truths and principles from the Old Testament that we can learn from about God and His interaction with mankind.
• There is treasure to be found if we will just search for it in His word.  Holy Spirit lead us on that very journey.

Prayer:  Lord I love Your word and I hunger and thirst to know more of Your scripture and Your word.  Open it up to me Holy Spirit that I can have understanding and revelation continually every day from Your word.  Lead me I pray in Jesus name.  Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

• So often life seems to be difficult and have unpleasantness, but God has made everything beautiful.
• All of us have the understanding or the sense of eternity that awaits after this natural life.
• Our capacity to grasp God and all that He has done and all He is going to do is extremely limited, but we trust in Him and we know that He is able to make all things beautiful.

Prayer: How I praise Your name today Lord for how You have made all things beautiful, even through the trials and difficulties You always come through and do things beautifully.  You are a wonderful God and a wonderful Savior and I am so grateful to be Your child. Amen.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

• His Kingdom – the spiritual dominion of which our Lord Jesus rules over is what we are to pursue.  All the understanding and lifestyle.
• Being righteous is to walk in right standing and relationship with Him on a continual basis.  We are justified through faith and now we pursue our relationship with Him.
• All the things we so want or need will automatically come to us when put these first things first. 

Prayer:  Almighty God, I do choose Your kingdom and Your ways.  Teach me Your ways and Your Kingdom and I will follow them with all my heart.  I know You will add all which I need and desire, putting everything in its place. I comfort myself in You today and yield completely to Your full control.  I bless Your Holy name and thank You for Your goodness.  Amen.

Philippians 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

• It is the nature of God in us not to consider ourselves first.
• Love is kind and generous and seeks not its own – let us always be considerate.
• Even when we are busy we should take time to be concerned, interested and focused on other people too and their needs – it is the way of the cross.

Prayer:  Lord I yield myself to You today that Your Holy Spirit may create Your nature inside of me continually that I would be focused and concerned for other people’s needs sincerely and want to help.  Lead me Holy Spirit to want to be that person that cares for others.  Amen.

Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

• No doubt that there are challenges and storms and deserts in our lives and often we feel abandoned.
• But God never fails, He is always there and He will cover us through that difficult time if we will just let Him.
• His faithfulness is a shield and we only need a shield when there is a difficulty ahead of us.

Prayer:  Lord I praise You that You cover me today with Your feathers and I yield to Your covering and Your protection and I will not panic or get fearful of my circumstances.  I will rejoice in You always in Jesus name.  Amen.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

• It’s by grace that we are saved and by grace that He sanctifies us and keeps us.
• We always have this good hope and encouragement in our hearts because of who He is. 
• We are strengthened with words (which are important) and the things we do because His name is glorified through it.

Prayer:  Lord I do want to be strengthened in good deeds and words by Your Holy Spirit I lean on You for that and all the good hope and all the grace that You give.  I look to it today and I praise Your name for it.  I receive it Lord and I will not let the enemy steal from me my joy and confidence in You.  Amen.

Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

• The devil has worked very hard to withhold understanding from us; that we have complete authority over him.
• This authority is given purely by faith in Jesus and because He said so.
• We can put into reality and action that the enemy can not harm us in any way.

Prayer:  Lord, I do confess and believe these words that I have authority over the enemy and all the attacks of the enemy and that by Your command he has to obey and submit and be yielded to the authority that You have given me.  Help me Lord to exercise it.  Holy Spirit direct me I pray in Jesus name.  Amen.
