1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

• God has always had an amazing focus and plan for His church.  
• It is and was not God’s plan for us to suffer or go through difficulties, but rather be victorious, because of the price Jesus paid.
• This salvation that Jesus paid such a dear price for compares to nothing in this world.  It is the most amazing gift of God ever.

Prayer:  I lift my hands to rejoice and worship You for this wonderful salvation that You have given to me.  Help me to share it today with someone that they may hear the gospel and receive eternal life.  I praise You Lord that I can expect blessing and Your favor each day.  Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

• Challenges there will always be.  Varied, more intense and less intense, but troubles are not uncommon.
• The Lord has us covered and expects us to not react or be anxious about them because where fear and panic is faith is gone.
• It is for us to give thanks and to pray and to ask God what we need so that we may have His peace in the midst of any storm. 

Prayer: Lord I do receive Your peace and thank You that You have paid the price for me to have the fullness of that peace and I will focus and give You thanks and tell You of my needs trusting that You will take care of me.  Amen.

Ecclesiastes 5:19  Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work–this is a gift of God.

• The persual of contentment or happiness – so many of us search for it.
• True happiness comes only from God whether we have or don’t have.  Sometimes we can have and not have the ability to enjoy.
• When we can accept and be grateful for which boundary God has given us and what He has allotted to us, true contentment comes.

Prayer:  I praise Your holy name for Your goodness and Your provision, I am content and I say with David that Your boundaries have fallen in lovely places.  Amen.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. …For when I am weak, then I am strong.

• There is nothing to compare with His grace – His undeserved favor.
• Weakness is where God excels through us.
• I need not to feel inadequate, but to know that He is my strength in my weakness and will bring glory through it all.

Prayer:  Thank You for Your grace Father and Your goodness and Your undeserving favor that I can face whatever I am struggling with whenever I am struggling with it, knowing that You will always give me grace and strength in my weakness.  Amen.

Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

• If we knew what God was doing and understood all things, we would not need to trust Him.
• We depend upon Him completely, because He is our defense and just by His faithful and wonderful nature alone we can depend upon Him.
• Just because of who He is and His greatness we can be full of gladness and praise Him, regardless of how things seem.

Prayer:  Lord, I lift my hands in praise and thanksgiving to You today because You are the almighty God.  No matter what I am going through I trust in You, because You have never let me down.  I worship You.  Amen.

John 13:35  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

• Nothing else is more evident that we belong to God than the evidence of love.
• The whole world is looking for love and they know what love looks like – the real thing.
• Sometimes it is difficult to walk in that love in our own strength, that is why we lean on Him and run to Him to fill us with His love continually.

Prayer:  Lord I surrender to You that Your love permeate my heart and fill me and give me love for those that I have difficulty loving.  Let me be loving to everyone.  Let this one thing flow in my life Lord, Your love.  I crave it, I want it and I surrender to it completely.  Amen.

Jeremiah 33:3 NLT Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.

• God is omnipresent.  He is in the past, He is in the future, He is in the present.  He knows all things to come.
• All we have to do is ask.
• He will tell us things that are unknown (secrets) but there is a purpose that we may be devoted to Him and full of confidence in Him.

Prayer:  Lord I do ask that You reveal and show me the way and things to come that I can be prepared in my heart.  I am confident in You that You are in control and that I am not to be afraid.  Teach me and show me Your ways.  I belong to You.  Amen.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

• The Bible is real.  Many have set out to disprove it and for 2000 years it has been established as God’s un-faulted word.
• All scripture is beneficial. From Genesis to Revelation.  Let’s study it!
• We have been trained in our walk with Him and be equipped to be fruitful and effective in every good work.

Prayer:  Lord, I love Your word and I pray Holy Spirit that You make His word alive to me that I can always be fruitful and effective and learn so much from the word and about my King.  Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

• We are sometimes so narrow minded and only see our lives in small frustrations.
• There is so much more going on way beyond before we were born and after we go and there is so much to life.  
• He does make all things beautiful and fantastic.  We must just look to Him and let Him be sovereign in every way.

Prayer:  Hallelujah!  I lift my hands and praise and worship, because You are the Almighty God and my life is very small and insignificant compared to Your great plan.  I yield to You and know that You make all things beautiful and good and I trust You no matter what things look like today.  Amen.

Psalms 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

• In Matthew 5 in the beatitudes it says we are blessed when we hunger and thirst  for Him.
• Cultivating a constant hunger and thirst for God brings great rewards and much blessing.
• God wants to be wanted and longed for.  May the Lord give us grace to pursue this.

Prayer:  Lord, my heart and soul does long for You as I do need You.  I can not exist without You. You are everything to me.  Holy Spirit I pray that You keep that longing growing in me that I will always want Him and long for Him and not just what He can do for me.  I bless You Lord today in Jesus name.  Amen.
