A Refuge

Psalms 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

  • One only takes refuge when there is a storm which life so often presents to us. 
  • Always the refuge is there.  All we have to do is run to it and apply it.
  • It is God’s plan for us to have joy at all times and enjoy His protection and His love.

Prayer:  Almighty God, I do purposely take refuge in You in every circumstance.  I look to You for my strength and my help.  There is no one like You.  I bless Your holy name and thank You for Your goodness towards me.  Amen.

He’s Got This

John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

  • The enemy’s plight is always to trouble our hearts first with panic, then fear, and then unbelief.  Let us watch that carefully.
  • We will trust in Him – complete dependance without any information or knowledge, just because of who He is!
  • So our hearts belong to Him regardless of any circumstances, we will trust in Him completely.

Prayer:  My Father with every ounce of my being I commit my trust to You and refuse by my own will today and Your wonderful grace not to panic or let the enemy influence me negatively or to cause my heart to be troubled.  Safe guard me I pray Holy Spirit with this in Jesus name.  Amen.

Completely a Gift

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–

  • Salvation – a total gift!  Never deserved.
  • It is by faith that we are saved, not by any effort by our own parts.  It is all a gift from God.
  • We ought to never have to work for our salvation, but receive it with great joy as a gift.

Prayer:  Father how I rejoice in this wonderful salvation and everyday I give thanks.  Help me to share this wonderful message on a daily basis and also to be reminded of Your kindness and salvation towards me.  Amen.

Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

  • When facing obstacles and there seems no way out, God has a way.
  • No matter how hard it is or how hard it seems, God is genuinely able, regardless of how frustrated we might feel.
  • We can always turn to Him, depend upon Him, expect Him to make a way when we ask.

Prayer:  Hallelujah!  I am so grateful that there is nothing to hard for You that I can ask You anything. I turn to You today to make my request known to You and I have an expectancy that You will do miracles for me.  Amen.

Sing to Him

Psalms 40:3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

  • God gives us a song in our heart to sing to Him on a daily basis. He is good and worthy of praise.  
  • We belong to Him and His people should be praising Him continually.  
  • People are moved and touched by our worship to God and our service to Him and will turn to Him to put their trust in Him, so let us continually praise Him.

Prayer:  Lord I do lift my hands in worship and praise.  I do want sing a hymn to You everyday to honor You and to constantly sing of all You have done and the goodness of God, because there is no one like You.  Amen.

Far Reaching Love

Ephesians 3:16-18 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

  • The greatest thing in this whole world is the love of God.  Never ending and far reaching.
  • All true love has its origin in Him only, because He is love.
  • May God give us grace to continue to grasp, understand and enjoy this vast love that He has for us and others.

Prayer:  Thank You for Your wonderful love.  Fill me with that great love that You have Lord that I can be an expression of Your love to other people.  I can not do it in my own strength so I look to You for that wonderful love.  I bless Your holy name.  Amen.

Pleasing Our Wonderful Lord

Ephesians 5:10 and find out what pleases the Lord.

  • There are things that the Lord finds distasteful and He separated Himself from – 
  • There are actually things that attract us to God.
  • Throughout the word there are indicators of the things that excite, please, and attract God to us – let’s explore them continually and pursue them and He will make them known to us.

Prayer:  Hallelujah!  I want to please You in every way Lord, and I am looking for those things that please You and make You happy and not just man’s ideas or religious thoughts, but what Your word says that You are pleased with.  Teach me these things and I will follow them gladly.  Amen.

Always Welcome

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

  • We have access to God’s throne in the Holy of Holies, because of the completed work of our Lord Jesus.
  • We enter and come to Him with confidence, because of this wonderful salvation. 
  • We receive grace in any time of need and we ought to go to Him into that place when we do have a need. 

Prayer:  Help me Lord to always direct all my need and my immediate solutions to You rather than to man.  Help me to lean on You I pray in the name of Jesus.  I look to You and praise You for all the times You have helped me.  I can not even count.  You are a faithful God in every way.  Amen.

Knowing Him

Philippians 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ

  • After all things of the world that we want and pursued nothing compares to knowing Him.
  • In fact, most things have absolutely no value after all the energy we put into it, so we focus more and more on the things that do matter – our wonderful Lord.
  • Our value system changes the more we know Him.  He becomes more valuable than anything on this earth.

Prayer:  I lift my hands in praise and worship to You today Lord acknowledging there is no one like You that You are my Lord and my King and all these other things have no value to me besides You.  Amen.

Safety

Psalms 91:9-10 If you make the Most High your dwelling– even the LORD, who is my refuge– then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

  • In this world there are many challenges and strange things happening, it is hard to ignore. 
  • But, we have this confidence, we look to the Lord and He is our shield and our dwelling. 
  • We know that we are safe, because of the fact that we are in Him. 

Prayer:  Thank You that You are my protector and my helper and refuge. I bless Your holy name.  Amen.
