He’s Got Your Back

Psalms 115:12-13 The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron, he will bless those who fear the Lord– small and great alike.

  • Let us not assess ourselves or by situations by what we go through, but rather by His word.
  • God never forgets and He is always going to take care of us, regardless even when we are less then good.
  • We can expect Him to bless us, because He is a God that always prefers to do kind things and to bless rather than to curse or punish.

Prayer:  How grateful I am for Your goodness and Your mercy and Your salvation Lord.  Thank You that You bless me and my household and my family.  Help me to bless others and to be a blessing.  Amen.

Psalms 103:2-3  Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits– who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

  • We are not to get focused on the one negative thing or challenges, we need to see the bigger picture.
  • We have so much to be grateful for and we ought not to forget all His benefits/blessings.
  • He has forgiven every one of our sins and we can expect Him to heal every single sickness.  Hallelujah!

Prayer:  Holy Spirit help me not to focus on the challenges or difficulties or to be distracted from so many things that God has done for me and is doing for me.  Thank You for forgiving all of my sins and that I am healed in Your name.  I praise Your holy  name.  Amen.

Psalms 103:2 (Message Bible) O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing!

  • So often when we are overwhelmed by life’s challenges we forget what the Lord has done.
  • It is better to recite what we do have rather than what we don’t have.
  • It even promotes faith when we list and name one by one all that God has done and is doing.

Prayer:  Hallelujah!  I lift my hands up to praise You and to worship You because You have done so much and are doing so much for me and my household.  I count each blessing and I am naming them Lord, because the enemy wants to make me focussed on such small insignificant things.  I praise You for Your goodness.  Amen.

Encouragement

with No Comments

1 Thessalonians 5:10-11 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

  • We are only passing through this life and it was designed for us to know Him as Lord for eternity.
  • Once we are born again we have this wonderful assurance of always living with Him, whether we are alive in this body or not.
  • It is to His joy and pleasure that we strengthen each other continually with this understanding that we are extremely blessed being saved and have a great future.

Prayer:  Lord I ask You to help me to encourage my brethren continually and to strengthen in their resolve to serve You and to follow after You and to not be discouraged by things of this world and obstacles that come our way.  We are indeed a privileged and blessed people.  Hallelujah. Amen.

Praising Him

Psalms 13:6  I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.

  • No question – God is good at all times regardless of how it seems.
  • Not only do we praise Him, we should sing even if we are unable to – He loves and enjoys a joyful noise.
  • It should be a daily thing for us to sing to Him, because He is deserving of all our praise.

Prayer:  Lord I sing to You with all my heart because You have done so much for me and You are such a wonderful savior.  I can not live without You and I praise You gladly regardless of how things are or seem to me.  You have not changed.  Amen.

Trusting

By Ed Traut

John 13:7  Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

  • So many things that happen in our lives we just don’t get!
  • If we knew everything that God knew, we wouldn’t need to trust Him.
  • Many times when we look back, we understand better and so we decide to commit to God and trust Him, even when we don’t understand.

Prayer:  Lord, I don’t always understand what You are doing, but I trust that I will understand later or have some understanding.  I commit my ways to You and yield completely to Your purpose and plan for my life.  Amen.

Peaceful Sleep

Psalms 4:8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

  • It is a blessing and a gift from God to have a fulfilling nights sleep.
  • When our sleep is tampered with and disturbed, it causes us to become less effective and fruitful.
  • God gives us peace and even wonderful deep sleep – it is our birth right.  Let us claim it continually.

Prayer:  Lord I thank You for all that You do and all that You provide.  I thank You for your protection and love for me and even for the daily bread, but especially for the every nights good peaceful sleep and that I am well rested.  I thank You that You continue to give this to me and my household.  Amen.

God’s Favor

Genesis 39:23  The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

  • We can not often choose our circumstances and are sometimes even bewildered on how we even landed in such a place.
  • No matter what, God will always bless and prosper us if we will look to Him.
  • God will give us success in every single situation.  We belong to Him and His favor is on our lives.

Prayer:  My Father I thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy and that You watch me night and day and that You give me success.  I will not react or be concerned about tomorrow or my circumstances. I will prosper because You are with me and I will be a shining light and testimony to all by Your grace.  Amen.

Serving Others

1 Peter 4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.

  • When we can, we ought to serve and whatever talent or ability we have to use for His glory.
  • Serving others pleases God greatly.  It is as great as the first commandment – loving our neighbor.
  • Grace comes in various forms – Gods grace manifest in so many different ways.  We serve a God of great variety and great depth, more than we can comprehend.

Prayer:  Lord I surrender myself and whatever gift is in me to be led by Your spirit and I trust in You to bring about Your purpose and plan in my life and use me to bless others and serve them.  I am willing and I yield myself to that in Jesus name.  Amen.

Totally Dependable

Psalms 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

  • We can always run to Him, in every circumstances. He will always hide and shield us.
  • A refuge is always a place in a time of difficulty and we ought not to hesitate to run to Him (never from Him).
  • Being a horn of salvation means to be one that will always declare a solution and a victory regardless of how it seems.

Prayer:  Lord I praise You and lift my hands knowing that You have a solution in every situation.  No matter what it looks like, and if it seems hopeless then You have even a better answer than I thought.  I do trust You and leave it in Your hands.  Amen.
