Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

• No doubt that there are challenges and storms and deserts in our lives and often we feel abandoned.
• But God never fails, He is always there and He will cover us through that difficult time if we will just let Him.
• His faithfulness is a shield and we only need a shield when there is a difficulty ahead of us.

Prayer:  Lord I praise You that You cover me today with Your feathers and I yield to Your covering and Your protection and I will not panic or get fearful of my circumstances.  I will rejoice in You always in Jesus name.  Amen.

Psalms 8:1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

• Today we lift our hands in praise and glorify the one true God.
• In all the earth, His name is above and full of glory.
• No one can deny the greatness of our Lord, that is why we praise Him.

Prayer:  Lord I lift my hands with great joy today just to worship You because there is no one like You.  Thank You for Your great grace and love and kindness towards me that I can belong to You.  Amen.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

• His Kingdom – the spiritual dominion of which our Lord Jesus rules over is what we are to pursue.  All the understanding and lifestyle.
• Being righteous is to walk in right standing and relationship with Him on a continual basis.  We are justified through faith and now we pursue our relationship with Him.
• All the things we so want or need will automatically come to us when put these first things first. 

Prayer:  Almighty God, I do choose Your kingdom and Your ways.  Teach me Your ways and Your Kingdom and I will follow them with all my heart.  I know You will add all which I need and desire, putting everything in its place. I comfort myself in You today and yield completely to Your full control.  I bless Your Holy name and thank You for Your goodness.  Amen.

1 John 2:10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

• Undoubtedly, God is love and that is the greatest force on earth.
• If we walk in love, we can do no evil and certainly it is the evidence of God in us.
• We will not stumble spiritually if we live this life of continually loving others, even if they are undeserving or do things wrong to us.

Prayer:  My Lord, I pray that You fill my heart with Your love continually.  I yield to You and do not justify any wrong thinking in my heart, but honestly want to be filled with Your love to love everyone with Your love, because there is no other way.  I feel blessed to be an instrument of Your love in Jesus name.  Amen.

Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

• Grace – an enormous gift and kindness from God.
• We can not be righteous in our own strength or through the law, it is all by God’s goodness and grace though Christ Jesus.
• Jesus paid a very dear price for us to be saved and to become righteous – it is a total summation of God’s grace.  Thank You Jesus.

Prayer:  I lift my hands in worship and praise to You today for this wonderful salvation and Your goodness and this gift of eternity and eternal life.  Thank You Lord.  Thank You for Your grace upon my life.  Help me express grace to others and enjoy and walk in the grace that You give and not take it for granted.  I bless Your Holy name.  Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

• Everyone goes through challenges and storms.
• We can be sure that God is faithful in all things and that He will strengthen us.
• We have this confidence that He shields and protects us that the devil can do us no harm.  God is our fortress. 

Prayer:  My Father today, regardless of what I am going through, I look to You because I know that You are faithful and that You will strengthen me and I will not be focussed on the difficulty but on Your goodness.  Amen.

Matthew 14:19  And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

• Jesus initiated the miracle, but –
• It was the disciples that actually distributed the food and acted out the miracle.
• Often times it is just us acting on His word to see the miraculous in working.

Prayer:  Lord I surrender to You today that You guide me and instruct me that I can do whatever You say that I can see the miraculous power of God working.  Help me to step out always in faith.  Amen.

Psalms 40:2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

• We remind ourselves continually of all the things He has done!
• We do not forget from where we have come and how He has delivered us and done great things for us.  We allow no pride or confidence of our own achievements
• We recognize that He has given us a place to stand firmly in Him.

Prayer:  Lord it is all because of You.  I have nothing to boast in, but Your goodness and what You have done for me.  I rejoice in the fact that I stand firm and it is all in You.  Amen.

1 Samuel 17:50  So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

• Without a sword – not with conventional methods or the expected tools or weapons.
• So often, God will do things beyond our comprehension just to show that He can.
• We cannot depend upon our natural resources or strengths.  We look to God.  He may use what we have, but He certainly has resources we can’t dream of.

Prayer:  Lord, how grateful I am that I can look to You and not have to understand or even ‘work it out’but know that You have a way and You will give me victory in any way You choose, You will break through for me.  I bless You today.  Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

• God has always had an amazing focus and plan for His church.  
• It is and was not God’s plan for us to suffer or go through difficulties, but rather be victorious, because of the price Jesus paid.
• This salvation that Jesus paid such a dear price for compares to nothing in this world.  It is the most amazing gift of God ever.

Prayer:  I lift my hands to rejoice and worship You for this wonderful salvation that You have given to me.  Help me to share it today with someone that they may hear the gospel and receive eternal life.  I praise You Lord that I can expect blessing and Your favor each day.  Amen.
